We keep rare breed pigs at Arcadia to provide pork and bacon for our own consumption. We buy piglets at 8 weeks old and carefully rear them to ensure the quality and taste of their meat. We have them humanely slaughtered and professionally butchered. Customers can pre-order a quarter, half or whole pig which we will rear, slaughter and butcher to their requirements. We may also make available joints, chops, sausages, gammon and bacon that are surplus to our own needs. Customers will be notified of availability and pricing on the monthly Newssheet.
We also keep chickens at Arcadia to provide eggs for our own consumption. We keep them as free range birds to ensure the freshness, quality and taste of the eggs they produce. Eggs are available to customers who commit to a regular weekly delivery with their vegetable box. Pricing
We also have a range of home made products available for sale. These include marmalade and jam, pickles and chutney, as well as seasonal fare such as Christmas puddings, mince pies and Christmas cake. The monthly Newssheet will advise currently available products and prices. Orders can be placed by email, phone, order form or by telling the delivery person.
